What are Friends For?
The Friends of RML support the library in a myriad of ways. Their fund-raising efforts have made the following possible:
- acquisition of computer technology
- reading incentive programs throughout the year
- children and adult programs
- preschool and toddler storytimes
- holiday decorating
- Halloween and Tree Lighting Parties
- equipment and furniture
- funding library museum passes
- ...and more!

Join the Friends
The library is a valuable resource for all of us. For many it offers a place to do research and study or find entertainment in the form of a good novel, movie or music. For others, it is a social meeting place that expands their interests through books, special programs, and discussion groups. For youngsters, it offers an exciting introduction to reading. You can support the library's meaning to you by joining the Friends TODAY!

Shopping with Friends
If you are an online shopper you can benefit the Friends of RML with your purchases by registering at the iGive.com website. Then, when you shop online through either the iGive website or with their downloaded shopper's window (it pops up and tells you when you are at one of their merchant's sites) a percentage of your purchase will be donated to the Friends. Be sure to choose the Friends of Richards Memorial Library as your "cause" when joining. Since November 2001 the library has received over $200. from iGive. So, click on the image at right and get shopping!
Lobby Book Sale
Throughout the year you will find a nice selection of donated books on display in the library's lobby. Please look them over and if you would like to purchase any, please pay a librarian. All proceeds go to the Friends of RML.
